Dr Kamran Ahmed is a psychiatrist and founder of electronic music platform Rave Reviewz. Kamran launched Rave Reviewz as a music events platform to support nightlife in Sydney, which has since become the city's premier destination for underground electronic music information and content. He then started the Music On My Mind initiative (www.musiconmymind.com.au) to raise funds and awareness for mental health in the music industry.
Kamran also makes films on mental health and founded the global film festival Medfest. He writes for publications including The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, SBS and has published research in various scientific journals.
