Thomas E.S. Kelly

Thomas, a proud Bundjalung-Yugambeh, Wiradjuri, Ni-Vanuatu man, is a graduate from NAISDA Dance College who has worked across dance, music, theatre and more. Thomas creates work with a high-intensity physicality that fuses traditional cultural practice with contemporary movement, incorporating voice and physical percussion. In 2017, Thomas created Karul Projects, a company led by new First Nations voices, telling new stories. Thomas was the 2018 Dreaming Award Recipient, a 2019 American Australian Association Alumnus and the 2020 McKnight Institute International Choreographer Fellow.
