Angela Dorgan is the CEO of First Music Contact (FMC), the Arts Council funded national resource organization for musicians which runs the Irish Music Export Office, the online music portal www.breakingtunes.com and the annual music industry showcase Ireland Music Week. FMC also developed and co-runs the Creative Industries course at DCC LEO 'Start your Own Music Business'. FMC have recently established an association of independent music in Ireland, AIM Ireland. Angela was awarded the Oustanding Contribution to Live Music award by IMRO at the Venue Awards in early 2020.
Angela has a Masters degree in Sociology from UCC and believes that Arts and Culture are an essential part of the life of every citizen. She is Chair of the National Campaign for the Arts in Ireland , is currently a member of the Arts and Culture Taskforce for the Irish Government on COVID-19 recovery and is a founder and board member of the European Music Exporters Exchange (EMEE)
