“We don’t want a seat at the table. F%$k the table. The table is full of oppressors. We want a blanket and a pillow down by the ocean. We want to rest.” The Nap Ministry

The music industry, like the world, is in a stage of upheaval. Part of the resistance movement calling for change requires significant output that needs to be balanced with rest, healing and regeneration. As ‘self care’ becomes a common part of the music industry vernacular, what does that really mean and why is it such an important part of the revolution? This panel focuses on ‘self care’ for the music industry from the perspective of those who understand survivance, decolonial well-being and community responsibility.
