Amy Shark is as a singer, songwriter, producer, videographer and instrumentalist that burst onto the global music scene in 2016 with her breakthrough 5 x Platinum single ‘Adore’. Winning an armful of ARIA awards, becoming a household name and selling out shows in Europe and America, Amy Shark’s career so far has provided a seed of hope to many young songwriters.
Amy insists she’s still the same girl from the Gold Coast, transferring her heart from sleeve to guitar. “I'm in a good place now, but it took a lot of learning. I don’t see music as a job yet, it’s still what I love to do” Amy says.
With new music and a new album on the horizon, Amy’s most recent single, ‘Everybody Rise’ is Amy at her most meticulous. “I’m more adventurous with melodies and experimenting with my voice,” she says. “I'm a sucker for a sad song, and this single is a great example of the level that I've taken my music sonically and also vocally. I've taken risks with this one.”
For her forthcoming album, Amy Shark has worked with Joel Little (Lorde, Taylor Swift), Serban Ghenea (The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding, Katy Perry, Halsey), Ed Sheeran and more soon to be announced.
